Qualcomm Technologies Executive VP & CTO Matt Grob wants to give you a digital sixth sense.

Qualcomm–like almost everyone else on this planet–loves mobile technology. But–unlike everyone else–they’re looking to do something completely different with it.

In an age were tech is being created to take humans out of the equation, Qualcomm is looking to add a little humanity to the mix with their, “digital sixth sense.”

Designed to enhance our surroundings and digital life, the digital sixth sense is one in which our smartphones and tablets unleash various actions triggered by CPUs, wireless radios and sensors — magically delivering all types of info, feedback and content to enhance our digital lifestyles.

By 2020, experts predict an estimated 25 billion devices to be in circulation. Less than half of them will be mobile devices, while the remainder will be TVs, cars and wearables. With so many players set to enter the tech sector, we need a viable solution that will ensure that all of these devices will work together. This is where Qualcomm comes in.

By developing ways to get your mobile phone to intuitively react to your surrounding environment, the technology around you, and your preferences, Qualcomm is working to ensure that the connected future is truly, connected – and with new features likes, Smart Terrain they’re also creating an entirely new an entirely new dimension of digital possibilities while they’re at it.
