Get Ready: 2016 is the Year of The Bionic Olympics

Simply coined, The Cybathlon, the Bionic Olympics are on their way – hitting Zurich in October 2016.

Designed to boost interest for the performance-enhancing technology used by humans, the event will include races for competitors wearing prosthetic limbs and exoskeletons.

The Cybathlon will enable bionic athletes to compete together using commercially developed technology, or tech they have had created for them in a lab.

From powered exoskeleton races to competitions using brain power, The Cybathlon will give us a glimpse into the future of “sport.” – with competitors called pilots as opposed to athletes.
